CalChime for iPhone
Calendar alerts are easy to miss. Make your calendar ring.
Your calendar tells you about the dentist appointment or the 9:00 meeting with a quiet banner. Look away for a moment and you have missed it.
CalChime is an iPhone app that connects to your Google Calendar and sets real iPhone alarms for the timed events in the calendars you choose.
CalChime
Google Calendar events. iPhone alarms.
The reminder was there. You just did not notice it.
You put the appointment in your calendar. Your calendar did its job and showed a banner ten minutes before. You were making coffee. Nothing was broken, and you were still late.
A calendar notification
- A quiet banner
- Easy to miss when you are busy with something else
A CalChime alarm
- A real iPhone alarm with the event’s title on it
- Set for the time you choose, from the event’s start to 30 minutes before
How it works
-
01
Connect Google Calendar
Sign in with Google. CalChime asks for read-only access: it can see your calendars and events, and it cannot change them.
-
02
Choose calendars and timing
Pick which calendars get alarms and when they ring: at the event’s start, or 5, 10, 15 or 30 minutes before.
-
03
Open the app to update
CalChime sets an iPhone alarm for your upcoming timed events. When your calendar changes, open the app and it brings the alarms up to date.
Good to know
- Timed events only
- All-day events and events you declined are skipped.
- Alarms update when you open the app
- There is no background syncing yet. If your calendar changes, open CalChime.
- Alarms that are set stay set
- They still ring after your iPhone restarts.
- Google Calendar today
- Microsoft Outlook support is coming soon.
Why CalChime asks for Google Calendar access
CalChime cannot set an alarm for an event it cannot see. So when you sign in with Google, it asks for read-only access to three things, and uses them only to show your upcoming events and set alarms on your iPhone.
-
Your list of calendars
So you can choose which calendars get alarms.
Google permission

The events on your calendars
So CalChime knows when to set an alarm and what title to show on it.
Google permission

Basic Google sign-in
Your Google account ID and email address, so you stay signed in and Settings can show which account is connected.
Read-only
CalChime cannot create, change or delete anything in your calendar.
It stays on your iPhone
There is no CalChime server and no account with us. Event titles, start times and calendar names are stored only on your phone, and passed to Apple’s alarm system on the phone so the alarm can show the event’s title. Nothing from your calendar is sent to Confidere.
No tracking
No analytics, no advertising, no tracking. Your Google data is not sold, not shared, and not used to train AI.
You can stop at any time. In the app, go to Settings and tap Sign out of Google or Remove CalChime alarms. You can also remove CalChime’s access from your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
CalChime’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The full detail is in the CalChime Privacy Policy.
Coming soon to the App Store
CalChime is in testing and is not on the App Store yet. It will need an iPhone running iOS 26.1 or later.
