SnapCard Golf for iPhone and iPad
You played the round. Let your phone add it up.
Four players, eighteen holes, one small card full of pencil marks. Someone has to total it, and nobody wants to be that someone.
SnapCard Golf is an app for iPhone and iPad that reads a paper golf scorecard from a photo and adds up the scores for every player.
SnapCard Golf
No More Math. Just Golf.
Golf is the fun part. The arithmetic is not.
Most rounds are still scored in pencil on the card the course hands you. That part works fine. It is the adding up afterwards, in your head, for every player, that goes wrong.
Adding it up by hand
- Eighteen numbers for every player, added in your head
- One slip and the totals are wrong
With SnapCard Golf
- One photo of the card you already filled in
- It reads the handwritten scores and totals every player
How it works
-
01
Keep scoring on paper
Play the round the way you already do, on the card the course hands you.
-
02
Take a photo
Open the app and take a photo of the card. SnapCard Golf reads the handwritten scores for each player.
-
03
Check and save
Look over what it read, correct anything it got wrong, and save the round.
Good to know
- You have the last word
- You can review and edit any score before the round is saved.
- Scanning needs a connection
- Reading a card uses the internet. Rounds you have saved can be viewed offline.
- Playing with a group
- Invite the people you are playing with, and a photo of the card mid-round updates a leaderboard everyone can see.
- Something to send afterwards
- A Trophy Card turns the round into a picture you can share with the group chat.
- Your own index
- BirdieBank is SnapCard’s own performance index, worked out from your rounds. It is not affiliated with GHIN or the USGA.
- Free to download
- There is an optional paid membership. Current plans are on the SnapCard site.
This page is the short version. Everything else about the app, including its plans and its guides, is on snapcardgolf.app.
